River House Lodge is a architectural wonder constructed in the 1990's, creating the impression of having been around for a long time. The founders have travelled far and wide to procure antique building materials for the house to incorporate these into the building, such as: Balconies, doors and windows from India aging 500+ years, sandstone pillars from the historical Union Buildings in Pretoria, carved granite lintels and slabs from a demolished Victorian building that once stood on Church Square, Pretoria, and much more.
Surviving the great Crocodile river flood 2000, we have grown and flurished in Malelane - Mpumalanga South African. Come walk through our history and our beautiful garden.
Although we have refurbished and renovated in 2024, we keep the picturesque accommodation nestled in the heart of nature, offering a tranquil and luxurious retreat for guests. Our lodge boasts stunning views, comfortable amenities, and a serene atmosphere that is perfect for travellers looking to unwind and immerse themselves in nature and history.
