Built in the 1990s with a vision to honour the past while embracing the present, the lodge is a sanctuary of stories, artefacts, and timeless elegance. Every corner tells a tale, from 500-year-old Indian balconies and Union Building sandstone pillars to Victorian granite lintels rescued from Pretoria’s Church Square.
Sitting on the edge of the Crocodile River, the lodge has weathered its own share of adventures, including the great flood of 2000. Inside, the lodge is a treasure trove of antiques, Africana memorabilia, and original art.
